About Wendy Davis

Wendy Davis - For Utah!

What you see is what you get. I bring my full self to this work, and I show up.

I’m not a career politician or a “comfortable” insider.

I’m a longtime community member who has lived in this district for more than 20 years. I come from a union household and believe organized labor is the backbone of this country. I’m a strong supporter of public education and public school teachers.

I’m also a grandmother to ten grandchildren, including one who is deaf — so I understand how policy decisions affect families, especially those with special needs.

My role isn’t to speak over the community — it’s to listen, work alongside you, and represent you honestly at the Capitol.

My approach is simple — and rooted in real life.

  • Show up consistently and stay accountable to the people I represent

  • Listen first through town halls, conversations, and direct community engagement

  • Work with local people, not over them, to build solutions that actually work

No disappearing acts. No backroom shortcuts.

Wendy Davis at Utah State Capital

Wendy Davis is a longtime community member and former Utah House candidate who has spent her career helping schools, nonprofits, and everyday organizations solve real problems by listening first and working together. She has decades of experience supporting education, public-serving institutions, and community-focused organizations, and she believes leadership should be practical, accountable, and people-centered — not politics or ego. Wendy’s work has been recognized nationally, but at heart she’s a neighbor who shows up, understands how policy affects real lives, and is committed to making government work better for working families in District 40.
